Betty Learned Friant, Bill Wiley, Bill Barnett, and Brian Gill Bayliss recently attended CI-101 - Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate. All four Sales Associates sat for the exam, which follows the course and passed.

The CI-101 course participants gain a thorough understanding of financial analysis tools, concepts and calculations to help make sound decisions involving commercial real estate. It also covers topics that can have an impact on commercial real estate investments: the real estate cash flow model, time value of money, finance programs, loan terms (variables), appraisal methods, measuring investment value and performance, and taxation issues.

The CCIM designation is earned upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience. CCIM’s are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis, and form a business network encompassing 1,000 markets throughout the world. Approximately 6,500 professionals currently hold the CCIM designation, with another 5,500 practitioners pursuing it.

The Chicago-based Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute is an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS and is the governing body of the largest commercial real estate network in the world.
