Betty Friant, Sales and Leasing Associate, and Brett Haynes, CCIM, Associate Broker for Adams-Nelson & Associates, Inc. recently facilitated the sale of the 12,149 sq. ft. offices and warehouse facility located on Aviation Drive in Winchester, VA. The facility is located on 7.27 acres in the Airport Business Center and was listed for $1,099,000.
Haynes represented the seller and Friant represented the purchaser, concluding an IRS 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchange for the purchaser. In an IRS 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchange the owner sells an investment property and uses some or all of the equity to acquire replacement investment property to defer the capital gain tax that would ordinarily be paid at the time of sale.
