AIRPORT BUSINESS CENTER DESIGNATION AS PART OF
WASHINGTON-DULLES FREE TRADE ZONE
Winchester, Virginia
Richard Bell, CEO for The Adams Companies is pleased to announce that the Airport Business Center has been approved by the U.S. Department of Commerce as part of the Washington-Dulles Free Trade zone. This designation will allow local companies the opportunity to compete for business without paying import or export tariffs.
As a result of this designation, foreign and domestic merchandise may be admitted into zones for storage, exhibition, manufacturing, and processing without being subject to formal U.S. Customs import procedures or the payment of duties or excise taxes.
The late Kevin Adams and R.J. Turner of Adams-Nelson & Associates, Inc. were involved early with the free trade zone status application. "Working with the people of the Washington Dulles Free Trade Zone was an interesting opportunity to get involved in a process that will be beneficial to Frederick County," Turner stated.
