In Memorium

Fern Lorraine Legge Adams

October 27, 1927 to May 27, 1994

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother
1st Vice President, Adams-Legge Development Group

Fern was a Canadian. Her friendships embraced all races and types of people. The importance of unity was something she did not have to even think about. Serving people and accepting them for who they were seemed to come as naturally as breathing.

Fern gave herselt to the community. She was a volunteer at the Winchester Medical Center emergency room, First Night Winchester, the Salvation Army, and the Winchester/Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.

This talented and giving woman, wife, mother of five and grandmother of ten may best be remembered for establishing "Celebrating Patsy Cline, Inc."

C. Douglas Adams wanted a more permanent reminder of his beloved wife than memories. The historic renovation of the Old Salvation Army building in Winchester, the city she loved and a place where she served countless Thanksgiving turkey dinners, seemed the perfect monument. Through the restored Fern Adams Building, she will continue to give and contribute to the community.
